Connect Resonance (“we”, “the service”) is a journaling and gentle social product at connectresonance.com. This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we store
- Account data — email, display name, profile photo, and settings when you sign in (via email or Google through Firebase Authentication).
- Private journal entries — stored on your device; when signed in, they may sync to your account under owner-only security rules. We do not show private entries on public pages or in search.
- Public posts & profiles — content you choose to publish, plus public profile fields, themes, music choices, and links you set.
- Connections — who you follow and who follows you.
- Notifications & push tokens — so we can deliver optional alerts you enable (reactions, comments, gentle journal reminders).
- Approximate location (optional) — only if you enable it; snapped to a coarse grid for privacy, never street-level.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not run an advertising algorithm on your private journal.
- We do not make private entries publicly crawlable.
Third-party infrastructure
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Messaging, Hosting) to operate the product. Their processing is governed by Google’s terms and privacy documentation for Firebase.
Your choices
- Keep entries private or publish selectively.
- Disable push notifications in Settings or your browser.
- Mute people and notification types.
- Export journal data from the journal tools when available; delete posts you authored.
- Request account deletion by contacting us from the email on your account.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us so we can remove it.
